Raised in the Country Music Capital of Australia, (near the guitar shaped swimming pool.) Dimity moved to New York to launch a career in Art Direction.
Dimity, whose family hail from Scandinavia, the UK, and China, learned quickly how food is central to the way people who love each other come together. Her favorite memory as a child is of making fried rice with her half-Chinese grandmother. The holidays she loves most are the ones that gather people around a table: American Thanksgiving and Australian Easter. And she feels strongly that Hot Cross Buns need a pastry cross, no icing!
Her passion for the creative and connective power of food led to art directing and design for Martha Stewart, (Living, Everyday Food) creating a digital app for Bon Appétit, and designing for Food & Wine. She served as Creative Director of Cooking Light brand and led the visual direction for food content for WW (formally known as Weightwatchers.) She freelanced at MXM digital agency as a Senior Art Director working on a national integrated campaign for a fast moving global food brand: Barilla Pasta. Barilla Collezioni, Blue Box and Barilla Ready Pasta, with heavy digital, and Social Media focus.

In 2018, Dimity set up her own full-service creative agency, providing the A-Z of design, typography, strategy, branding, social media, and visual content for publishers, emerging food brands, restaurant groups, meal kit delivery sites, organic food delivery boxes, chefs, and other food-and-beverage businesses.
In 2022, Dimity completed a 4 month, full time, course on UX UI (User Experience Design Immersion) so was able to add User Experience and user centered design; Web Design, App Design, User research, Sketching & Wireframes, Figma Prototyping and User Flows to her arsenal… completing 6 projects. The 5th project was Client Liaison and UI Lead working for a Houston TX-based Restaurant company, with a 5-person team, to create one side of a double sided business mobile application. Click here.
Dimity’s superpower is consistent visual brand strategy across all platforms: print, web, app, video and is very comfortable managing, overseeing and guiding teams to ensure a consistent visual language across all touch points of the brand.
Currently located in Brooklyn, NY. Unless she’s enjoying some r & r, shucking oysters in a snow-covered cabin somewhere north of New York City. Or having one of her favorite meals at home: Vegemite on toast, (IYKYK!)
